Job Summary:

Drives the organization’s sponsorship strategies and the portfolio of sponsorship events. He/She identifies and pursues potential sponsors after targeted research. He/She works closely with internal teams especially the community team to plan partner and sponsor acquisition strategy, and manages the accounts of sponsors, serving as the point of contact between sponsors and the organization. He/She is persuasive and resourceful. He/She manages partner and sponsor relations to ensure all needs are attended to and to explore improvements to sponsorship agreements. He/She travels to maintain rapport with potential and existing clients, and networks widely to develop business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying potential sponsors for planned events.
  • Set meetings and present to potential sponsors.
  • Proposal of the sponsorship packages and ultimately to seal the deal.
  • Conduct negotiation of sponsorship agreements.
  • Develop plans to close gaps in sponsorship portfolio.
  • Develop proposals in alignment to sponsorship strategies.
  • Develop strategies with insights from market research, portfolio gap analysis and strategies.
  • Evaluate how latest technology trends can be used to improve productivity and innovation.
  • Identify potential sponsors to support new sponsorships for the organisation.
  • Manage execution of sponsorship agreements.
  • Manage official responses to unfulfilled deliverables of the sponsorship agreements.
  • Manage onboarding of new sponsors.
  • Propose sponsorship performance metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Recommend improvements for future events to achieve better outcomes for sponsors.
  • Review terms of sponsorship agreements to ensure they are financially viable.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Sponsorship Manager, Commercial Manager, Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in Community or Corporate Event-related fields will be an added advantage.
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
