Microsoft PowerPoint
Intermediate
Overview
As you continued to work in Word, you probably noticed that there are some tasks that you repeat quite often. This course will demonstrate how to work more efficiently by automating some tasks and offering techniques for ensuring consistency across documents. You will produce more complex documents with layouts for newsletters as well as lists, tables, charts, and graphics. Additionally, you will merge data into documents to personalise correspondence and add addresses to envelopes and labels with the data as well. Word can be used to create complex documents that are nearly as complicated as those creating using a desktop publishing application. Using Word, you can manage the text’s flow between paragraphs and pages, connect a story on page one to the rest of it later in the document, add graphics, and control how text and graphics are displayed together on a page. You can also use this course to prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exams for Microsoft Word.

Course Objective
In this course, you will expand your knowledge of Microsoft Word. You will work with tables and charts to organise and summarise data. You will use styles and themes to customise the look of your documents. You will be able to add images and custom graphics elements to your document to graphically show information. You will add building blocks of information and updatable fields to the document to improve efficiency. You will control how text flows around graphics, between paragraphs, and between pages, and use section, page, and column breaks in your documents. You will use templates to maintain consistency between documents. Finally, you will use the mail merge feature to customise and personalise content.
