Job Responsibilities

1) Strategic Business Development & Fundraising

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive funding strategy to attract corporate sponsors, government grants, and philanthropic contributions.
  • Identify and engage potential funders, including corporations, high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and government agencies.
  • Lead end-to-end fundraising efforts, from prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and closing funding agreements.
  • Ensure funding targets and revenue goals are met to sustain and expand the scholarship program.
 

2) Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate sponsors, government bodies, and philanthropic organizations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for funders, ensuring alignment between their CSR/ESG objectives and the scholarship program’s mission.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, networking events, and industry forums to promote scholarship funding opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, finance, and program management) to ensure funders receive visibility, impact reporting, and proper recognition.
 

3) Strategic Partnership Development

  • Develop value-added partnerships beyond financial sponsorships, including mentorship programs, employment pathways for scholars, and in-kind contributions.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders and corporate partners to co-develop scholarship initiatives that align with workforce development and talent pipelines.
  • Identify emerging trends and funding opportunities within the CSR, ESG, and education sectors.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, fundraising, corporate partnerships, or sponsorship management.
  • Proven track record in securing high-value funding from corporations, government grants, or philanthropic sources.
