Job Summary

The Commercial Executive drives the organisation’s conference ticketing sales. He/She identifies potential delegates after targeted research and will focus on both inbound and outbound leads conversion to sales. He/She works closely with internal teams especially the Commercial Manager and HOD to execute the sales process. He/She is persuasive and resourceful and have the ability to ensure closure of sales via telecommunication channel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calling existing and potential customers to persuade them to purchase conference tickets.
  • Accurately recording details of customers’ purchase orders.
  • Processing all customer purchases accordingly.
  • Generating promising leads to pursue.
  • Managing customer accounts by ensuring that existing customers remain satisfied with the services rendered.
  • Developing and sustaining solid relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Using sales scripts proffered by the company to drive sales and respond to customer rejections.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of our products and services to make suitable recommendations based on customers’ needs and preferences.
  • Continually meeting or exceeding daily and monthly targets with respect to call volume and sales.

Key Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Executive, Commercial Executive, Telesales Specialist or relevant role.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Experience in Corporate Event related field will be an added advantage.
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
